Thanks to the vision and hard work of our founder Dr. Joseph Dello Russo, the New Jersey Eye Center contains a specialty care ophthalmic facility that provides a safe and comfortable environment for all patients and family members wishing to address their ophthalmic needs. Our center strives to meet the psychological, physiological, and sociological needs of the patient undergoing ophthalmic surgery, in order to obtain maximum and expedient patient recovery.

When Dr. Dello Russo introduced the ambulatory surgery center (1977), it was the first of its kind in the Northeast and the third in the nation. He helped not only to pioneer, but to establish outpatient ambulatory surgery as a standard of care, resulting in over 40,000 outpatient facilities that currently operate in the U.S. He then helped to establish one the prime standard national agencies governing the quality of such centers.
